The Introduction to ATM course presents an easy to follow introduction to a complex Wide Area Networking technology, Asynchronous Transfer Mode. Once said to be the network technology of the future, ATM is widely accepted as the Layer-2 protocol of choice in dedicated data networks. Topics covered in the Introduction to ATM course include the evolution of ATM and switching in general, the ATM protocol stack and each layer's function, the ATM cell structure, switching of ATM cells, ATM traffic management, ATM network management, and ATM interface types.
